How do I create a general note for a patient
General notes in Ambiki are used to provide flexibility for capturing a wide range of patient-related information, from updates to observations.
Here is an example of a general note an Occupational Therapist might create: “Today's occupational therapy session was highly productive. The patient displayed improved dexterity and fine motor skills, especially in tasks related to daily living. They demonstrated independence in activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming and dressing, and were able to adapt to their assistive devices more effectively.”
To create a general note for a patient, ensure you are signed in to Ambiki and on the main dashboard:
- In the left navigation, click on ‘Patients’.
2. Choose the patient that you’d like to create a general note for by clicking on their name.
3. In the top right-hand corner, click on ‘Actions’ and select ‘Edit’.
4. Click on the button labelled ‘Add general note’. Select a note type from the drop down and draft your note as needed.
5. Click on the button labelled 'Save patient’ to save the note.
**After saving a general note, it can be found at the bottom of the patient profile page
