Big/Little Concept Book
Description
This is a concept book for teaching big and little with additional activities: sorting worksheet, pronoun/sight word sentence strip and plurals vocabulary cards.
Strategies and techniques
Ideas for activity:
--Review vocabulary cards before reading the story. Have the children read and identify the two cards.
-- Work on imitation of grammatically correct sentences for children who cannot read. Have them imitate with correct noun/verb agreement.
-- Work on matching 1:1 with provided big/little and item pictures.
-- Receptive/Expressive ID of vocabulary items through the story.
-- You could cut out the vocabulary pictures at the end and use the he/she has some…. pictures for the children to create their own sentences. Can also use this to practice using plurals.
