How to edit a claim file in error
Sometimes a claim file does not have all the information it needs to be sent out successfully. This may result in a claim status of error.
To fix this and edit the claim file in error, ensure you are logged in to Ambiki and on the main dashboard:
- Click on ‘Billing’ in the left navigation.
2. Click on ‘EDI 837 professional claims’. This will show all the claims you have submitted and what their statuses are.
3. If the status shows 'error', there are issues that need to be addressed. To open the claim file, click on the blue link with the claim date on the left.
4. Once you’ve opened the claim file, you'll see a helpful error message, which explains how to correct the claim, along with a link to make the correction.
5. Correct the error and then reopen the claim file. Click on ‘Actions’ and select ‘Reload claim file’.
6. Now the claim can be resubmitted without any errors. Note: you must resubmit the claim manually after correcting errors. It will not automatically submit.
