Summary by Persona (Grouped by Role)
π©ββοΈ Clinicians / Therapists
- Therapists will benefit from improvements to visit notes, evaluations, plans of care, progress reports, and document signing. Session notes, alerts, and caseload counts are also more accurate, and several pages now load faster.
π§βπΌ Admins
- Admins can hide the Ambiki logo on printed documents, see more accurate therapist statistics and subscription seat counts, and benefit from faster dashboards, calendars, caseloads, and other pages.
π³ Billers / Guardians
- Billers: Early Intervention payment statuses now update correctly, patient invoice pages load faster, and practices using the old Ledger will transition away from it after October 31, 2026.
- Guardians/Patients: No direct changes.
π New Feature - Option to Hide the Ambiki Logo on Printed Documents
π₯ Audience: Admins
π οΈ Steps to Access: Organization settings > EMR settings > Print settings
π’ What's new?: Practices can now hide the Ambiki logo at the bottom of printed and faxed documents.
π οΈ Fix - Email Addresses Can Be Removed from Account Settings
π₯ Audience: Everyone with an Ambiki login
π
Date range affected: Up to now
β Issue: Removing an email address in Settings could fail and show an error page, and any other change made at the same time was lost.
β
Action Steps: None. If removing an address failed before, try again. The address will also stop being used for notifications, which then go to your main login address.
π οΈ Fix - Therapist Attendance Statistics Show Accurate Group Session Counts
π₯ Audience: Admins looking at therapist statistics
π
Date range affected: Up to now
β Issue: On the therapist statistics chart, the attendance figure could look better than it was for therapists who run group sessions, if someone who has since been removed from the practice had been marked present in that group.
β
Action Steps: None. The figures are worked out fresh each night and will be right from the next update.
π οΈ Fix - Faster Page Loading
π₯ Audience: All users
β Issue: Pages took longer to load than they needed to.
β
Action Steps: None.
π οΈ Fix - Visit Payment Statuses Update Correctly
π₯ Audience: Billing staff
π
Date range affected: N/A
β Issue: A visit's payment status could stay out of date when an invoice line was matched to the visit after the payment was recorded, and a visit paid by an early intervention agency could show as pending or partially paid after the agency had paid.
β
Action Steps: None. Affected visits are updated after the release.
π οΈ Fix - Faster Patient Profile Loading
π₯ Audience: All users
β Issue: Patient profiles took longer to load than they needed to.
β
Action Steps: None.
π οΈ Update - Goals V3 and Clinical Documentation Improvements
π₯ Audience: Everyone with an Ambiki login
π
Date range affected: Now
π’ What's new?: Goals V3 introduces a redesigned way to set up and track patient goals. Goal changes made in a document take effect when the document is signed. Each goal can be measured using percentages, counts, durations, rating scales, or pass/fail. The patient's Goals tab brings goal history and progress together, with a dedicated page for each goal.
π οΈ Steps to Access: Goals V3 is currently behind an organization-level rollout setting and has not yet been enabled for customer organizations. The new experience will appear when it is enabled for your organization.
The following improvements are available even when Goals V3 is not enabled:
Visit Notes
- The New visit note page no longer shows Session start and end time fields to practices that donβt use them.
- The Edit button on a therapy activity row now opens for everyone who is allowed to edit that row.
- Saving a therapy activity row keeps the goal it is linked to, even if that goal is no longer active.
Signing and Documents
- If something goes wrong after you sign, the document stays signed, billing still goes ahead, and a message tells you what happens next, instead of an error page.
- A visit note or evaluation that was reopened for a co-signature can no longer be deleted. Once it is co-signed, it can be invalidated instead.
- Signing a Plan of Care closes that patientβs older unsigned Plans of Care in the same discipline, as it always has, including for Plans of Care without a goals section.
- If a Plan of Care or evaluation canβt save what was entered on its form, you now see a message, and nothing is lost without notice.
- Pages with several signatures open faster. Printed copies look the same.
- Adding a diagnosis that is already on an evaluation now says the diagnosis is already linked.
Progress Reports
- A goalβs sections slide open and closed smoothly.
- Sections you hide no longer appear in the printed report.
- The printed report shows each goalβs text once instead of twice, and the chartβs key is easier to read, with the label βPercentβ.
- Comments on a goal show the authorβs name and the comment, without a profile picture.
- On a signed report, the Details, Status and Comments buttons at the top skip goals youβve hidden with Customize Goals Shown.
- The side column stays next to the form on a narrow window.
- A signed report keeps the goals as they were when it was signed.
- A report that is invalidated no longer changes the patientβs goals.
- A co-signature is turned down if it would close a long-term goal whose short-term goal was reopened after the author signed.
- Document bundles now include the progress report goal comments the person making the bundle is allowed to see.
Typing and Text
- Text boxes on forms and in the Form Designer keep fractions and symbols as you type them. β3/4β stays β3/4β instead of becoming βΒΎβ, and β->β, β<=β and β>=β stay as typed.
- Copy buttons show a βCopied to clipboardβ message.
- The dictation microphone is skipped when you Tab through a form. Press Alt+Shift+M in a field to start or stop dictation; the microphoneβs tooltip mentions it.
- The Progress tabβs βChoose goalβ list no longer shows empty group headings.
Form Designer
- The Form Designer only offers the goal sections available to your practice.
AI Scribe
- When a note switches to a different discipline and you pick up its Scribe session again, it offers that disciplineβs goals.
π New Feature - Large Excel Exports Prepare in the Background
π₯ Audience: Practices with large Excel exports
π οΈ Steps to Access: Enabled per practice by Ambiki staff
π’ What's new?: Large Excel exports for services and events are prepared in the background, and the file is ready to download when it finishes.
π οΈ Fix - Subscription Dashboard Shows Accurate Paid Seat Counts
π₯ Audience: Practice admins who manage subscriptions
β Issue: The Subscriptions dashboard counted free seats, such as the ones students bring with them, as seats the practice had bought, so the seat numbers looked higher than they were. When a practice on a free subscription moved to a paid one, the same count was filled into the seats to buy.
β
Action Steps: None. The seat numbers now show what you pay for, with any free seats listed underneath. If you move from a free subscription to a paid one, check the seat numbers on the purchase page before paying, as you always should.
π οΈ Fix - Visit Notes Match the Correct Session
π₯ Audience: Therapists
