Summary by Persona (Grouped by Role)
👩⚕️ Clinicians / Therapists
- Therapists can search dropdown options more easily on custom forms, receive clearer feedback when AI therapy activities cannot be added, and mark facility-billed visit notes as not needing billing.
🧑💼 Admins
- Admins can require two-factor authentication for all staff, benefit from easier-to-use form dropdowns, and see more reliable subscription seat management when teammates are removed.
💳 Billers / Guardians
- Billers: Facility-billed visit notes that do not require billing can now be removed from the missing billing list without creating a billing entry.
- Guardians/Patients: Families will see easier-to-use dropdowns on intake documents and patient portal forms.
🚀 New Feature - Searchable Dropdowns on Custom Forms and Intake Documents
👥 Audience: Therapists, admins and families filling out forms
🛠️ Steps to Access: None
📢 What's new?: Dropdown fields on custom forms, intake documents and the patient portal now look and work like the rest of Ambiki's dropdowns: type to narrow the list, then pick an option.
🚀 New Feature - Require Two-Factor Authentication for Staff
👥 Audience: Admins
🛠️ Steps to Access: Edit organization > Security settings. Check "Require two-factor authentication for all staff users at this organization", scan the code with an authenticator app, and enter the 6-digit security code.
📢 What's new?: Your practice can now require every staff member to enter a security code from an authenticator app when they sign in, adding a second layer of protection for your patients' information. Nothing changes until an admin turns it on.
🛠️ Fix - AI Therapy Activities Handle Long Activity Lists More Reliably
👥 Audience: Therapists using AI therapy activities
❗ Issue: On notes with a very long list of activities, the prompting information was missing, or the note finished with no activities and without saying anything had gone wrong.
✅ Action Steps: None. If a note tells you the activities could not be pulled in, you can still add them yourself with the + button on the note.
🛠️ Fix - Facility Visit Notes Can Be Marked as Billing Not Needed
👥 Audience: Therapists, Billers
❗ Issue: Visit notes billed to a facility could not be marked as not needing billing, so notes that should never be billed, such as missed visit notes, stayed on the missing billing list.
✅ Action Steps: On the visit note, choose Actions > Mark as billing not needed. It can be undone with Mark as billing needed.
🛠️ Fix - Subscription Seats Are Released When Teammates Are Removed
👥 Audience: Admins
📅 Date range affected: Since December 2023
❗ Issue: A teammate removed right as the practice's subscription renewed could keep their plan or add-on seat, so the seat kept counting as taken and could not be given to someone else.
✅ Action Steps: None.
Thank you for choosing Ambiki.
