A patient (or parent/guardian) message just appeared on my home dashboard today, but it was sent several days ago. Why is it only showing up now?

Answer:
The Recent incoming patient messages module on your home dashboard only displays messages from patients who are currently in your caseload.
The Recent incoming patient messages module on your home dashboard only displays messages from patients who are currently in your caseload.
If a patient is not yet in your caseload at the time they send the message, the message will not appear on your dashboard. Once the patient is added to your caseload, any past messages they sent will automatically appear.
This design ensures that you only see communication that is directly tied to patients you are responsible for.
What you can do:
- Add patients to your caseload as soon as you are responsible for them to avoid missing messages.
- If you are uncertain whether a patient should be in your caseload, confirm with your administrator.
