This article explains how to schedule single and recurring events in Ambiki using the Schedule feature. You’ll learn how to create one-time sessions, set up recurring events, select event types and modes, and manage scheduling details such as duration, location, and teletherapy access. Events are created from the Schedule calendar or from the Teletherapy Front Desk.


What can I do in the Schedule?

  • The Schedule includes:
    • View your calendar in monthly, weekly, or daily formats
    • Hide weekends for a clearer view of active workdays
    • Create single or recurring events
    • Set custom event titles
    • Select event modes (In-person, Teletherapy, Out of Office, Other)
    • Select event types (Evaluation, Therapy, IEP Meeting, etc.)
    • Track attendance (Present, Cancelled, No-show, Absent, Other)
    • Start teletherapy sessions directly from the schedule
    • Edit, reschedule, cancel, or delete events
    • Drag & drop feature


Glossary

  • Modes of Events
    • In-person - The therapist and patient meet physically in the same location.
    • Teletherapy - Services are delivered remotely.
    • Out of Office - Therapist is unavailable (PTO, vacation, training, etc.).
    • Other - Used for custom activities.

  • Event Types
    • Evaluation – Initial assessment
    • Re-evaluation – Follow-up assessment
    • Therapy – Ongoing intervention
    • IEP Meeting – Educational planning meeting
    • Observation – Therapist observes client
    • Discharge – Final session
    • PTO / Vacation / Sick – Time off
    • Meeting – Administrative meeting


How do I create a single event?

Step 1: Open the Schedule
From the left navigation menu, click Schedule.

Step 2: Click New Event
In the top-right corner of the Schedule page, click New Event or click on any date & time on your calendar.

Step 3: Enter event details & Save
  • Enter the event details:
    • Choose the event mode
    • Select the event type 
    • Add a title (optional)
    • Select the event date
    • Select the start time
    • Enter the event duration
    • Select the location (optional)
    • Select the patient
    • Select "Does not repeat" under Recurring

Step 4: Click Save
Click Save at the bottom right to create the event

Click Save

Your event will now appear on the schedule calendar.



How do I create a recurring event?

Step 1: Open the Schedule
Click Schedule in the left navigation.

Step 2: Click New Event
Click New Event in the top-right corner or click on any date & time on your calendar.

Step 3: Enter event details
Enter the event details:
  • Choose the event mode
  • Select the event type 
  • Add a title (optional)
  • Select the event date
  • Select the start time
  • Enter the event duration
  • Select the location (optional)
  • Select the patient
  • Select "Custom" under Recurring

Step 4: Select recurrence options & Save
  • Choose:
    • Daily or weekly recurrence
    • Days of the week
    • Whether the event repeats indefinitely
    • An end date or number of occurrence

Step 5 Click Save
Click Save at the bottom right to create the recurring event.

All scheduled occurrences will now appear on your calendar.



How do I create an event from the Teletherapy Front Desk

Step 1: Click Teletherapy
From the left navigation, click Teletherapy.
